So many of the old nursery and seed catalogs have lovely drawings of plants and trees. The wholesale catalogs of that time were usually unillustrated price lists. But, every now and again, there’s gold to be had in the wholesale ones too. And, what a bit of golden awesomeness it is.
This golden marbled background pattern was part of the cover from an 1827 Henry Gilbert catalog.
The pretty marbling includes shades of gold, brown and yellow. It’s a big enough image that it can cover an entire A4 page and would work great for a paper craft project. It would also be great for a digital image!
