The best part of this letter H image might be that it is one of a group of 11 letter images found within the same book and presumably drawn by the same artist. The other letters in the set include:

Ernets Ingersoll’s publishers decorated his 1887 work The Crest of the Continent with these fancy letter, drop cap images.
