I wish this wasn’t the only version of this print foundry drop cap image that I’ve found. It’s a bit raggedy in places and slightly off square. Maybe there’s someone out there with more patience and finesse than I have to restore it to its original glory.
But, if you’re looking for a vintage drop cap letter H image with a bit of a rubber stamped or antique look, this one just might fit the bill. With one larger central fruit and four smaller ones on a single stem going up the center of the image, this letter H image is shown in a light color on a dark background.
It was used in the 1889 book Flowers of the Hunt.
