How nice is this letter H with ivy? It’s been a little over a year since I last shared a new letter H image with you and I think this is a nice one. It has a dark letter H with some decorative highlights. Surrounding the letter is a healthy ivy vine full of leaves and curling tendrils. I wish it was a tad cleaner along the lines but I think in the end, that just adds to the overall vintage charm.
This letter image should be safe for everyone to use as it was included inĀ Ballads of Beauty which was released way back in 1878. No artist is identified but it is obviously a work that is over 120 years old. It is more than likely a print foundry image – much like today’s stock images – that was designed to be used by printers to decorate otherwise flat texts.
