This copyright free image of a heron is relatively simplistic, yet highly detailed. It is most likely a drawing of a great blue heron and as such would make a great addition to your next scrapbook, mixed media art or other creative project.
This book was written by James Johonnot (1823-1888), who did not identify an illustrator for Friends in Feathers and Fur, and Other Neighbors. However, at least two of the drawins appear to be the work of Harrison Weir (1824-1906).
