Fancy drop cap letter I image. This fancy letter image depicts the letter I with a little bit of scrollwork coming up from the base of the letter. It’s a fairly narrow drop cap making it perfect for a project where you may have limited space.
The publishers of Stories of Whitminster did not identify an illustrator but this image may have been a stock sort of image used by a number of publishers to decroated their works in 1873.
