There were a whopping 17 illuminated letter E images that embellished the manuscript. It was created back in the 1500s, probably for the Church. There were just over 100 decorative letters contained within a book full of religious music. Virtually every page had at least one beautiful drawing.
I’ve left all of these letter images as I found them. Some have bleed through from the facing page, some include bits and pieces of the surrounding text, some have little smears and other boo-boos made by the original artist and many are out of square. I leave it to you and your own creative muse to decide what elements to include in your project and which ones you might want to change. There are two different sizes of letters and plenty of different designs to choose from.
Rather than talk about the gilded letter E images, the white E’s, the blue E’s, the flowers and all of the lovely colors – let’s just jump in and enjoy all of the illuminated letter E images to choose from.
