There was only one. It is the larger size and is a true attention grabber. There are so many different design elements in this illuminated letter H image that it seems like the artist wanted to show off all of his skills.
It was over 500 years ago when the artisan hand-crafted over 150 pages of sheet music that was bound into a single book. He drew the musical score, the lyrics and even decorated it with over 100 drop cap letters. The scholars believe that the entire work may have been completed by the same person except for a single page. Phew, I wonder how long it took that single artist to create such a beautiful piece. It seems incredible that all these years later we can still admire his work.
This letter H image joins close to 30 others that can be found on Reusable Art. (The others are here.) This is only the second H to be done in multiple colors that I have found.
This image features a blue letter H that is made from four flower buds standing upon each other with a blue and white flower in the middle. The entire letter is done in blue and white. Above the cross beam of the letter are a pair of griffins, one even has teeth. The griffins tails are red and blue flowers. Below the cross beam is another pair of griffins with flowers for tails. On the sides of the letter are a series of spheres in red, white and blue.
