A group of children wait at the gate for an arrival. These Victorian children anxiously await the homecoming of someone they hold dear. This picture could easily be edited into four smaller ones that feature each of the four children alone.
Holly Berries is a book from 1881 which is overflowing with wonderful illustrations by the talented artist Ida Waugh (d.1919).
