Standing on her tippy-toes, a little girl tries to water one of her mother’s plants. The only problem is that there’s much more water being used than the poor plant needs and the water is pooling on the chair and running onto the floor.
I thought about putting this image in the naughty children images area but it seems like this little girl was trying to do something nice, it just didn’t work out as planned.
However you see this vintage image of children, Mamma’s Little Helper is in the public domain and ready for downloading. It is a reproduction of an original painting by Jan Verhas (1834-1896) and included in the 1884 children’s book Baby World Stories, Rhymes and Pictures for Little Folks.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
