Charming vintage drawing of 6 children standing in a line holding hands. Kate Greenaway once again has given the world a sweet drawing of small children. Instead of having them all facing the front as if posing for a picture, she has given us a fairly accurate representation of a line of children looking at each other, around the room or even behind their line. Although they look fairly close in age, it’s fairly clear that the central child is the oldest and most dominant of the group. Her work can be found in many children’s books, including Under the Window, the 1879 work which included this illustration.
