A young girl tries on her grandmother’s wedding skirt and proudly looks upon the train of fabric behind her. What little girl hasn’t dreamed of the day she’ll be wearing her own beautiful wedding dress? Haven’t we all played fancy dress up with our parent’s clothes? I know I did.
This drawing is another fine example of the work of Ida Waugh (d.1919). It appeared in The Proud Little Lady from 1880.
