A young girl as she contemplates some unkown issue stands amongst the falling snow. This black and white winter image has a great deal of possibilities for its usage. The small plate she is holding could have held seeds for the birds, part of her supper, or perhaps nothing.
Authors Eillis Town, Sophie May and Ella Farman did not identify the artists who illustrated their book, Lill’s Travels in Santa Claus Land. It was published in 1878.
