Three young children happily play in the falling snow. The only color in this image was used on the children in their red hats and coats which makes this winter image quite striking in its simplicity. The children have red cheeks from the cold and look ready to have a snowball fight.
This wintry image was included in the circa 1888 book Tangles & Curls, or, Little Boys and Little Girls. It was drawn by Ida Waugh (d.1919).
