Amidst a lot of little sketch-like drawings and letter images, the author of Ballads of Beauty included this beautiful drawing of a lady smelling flowers in a large garden planter. There are some just visible letters in the bottom left-hand corner but other than that, this vintage drawing remains unattributable. The compilation of poetry where this image was found was published in 1878, so I think we can be fairly certain our lady with flowers is in the public domain.
