So many of the vintage materials I work with are in English. Good thing, as that’s the only language I know. But, every now and again I get to work with materials from other countries. Today, I’m working with a French book from 1881. It has a number of print foundry type page spacers and letter images. It’s been a great find as all of them are new to me and not ones that I already have on Reusable Art.
OK, so, here we have a wonderful leaves and shells page spacer. It looks a bit like a pair of shelves with the all the decoration hanging underneath. The hanging leaves and vines support a central medallion made of a shell. The entire thing reminds a bit of chandelier.
