Lovely letter image from the French work Les fleurs animées which was published in 1867.
With this letter image, we have a black letter A featuring a row of circles and crosses. A garland of morning glories and another flower frame the letter. The vintage image has faded a bit, but, it looks just like it has been rubber stamped. It would be great for a mixed media project.
Speaking of morning glories, we have a few morning glory images that might go perfectly with the floral letter image below.
This letter image is one of 13 that were used across the two volumes of this book. You can view all of the letters at the vintage French Printer’s Letters page.
