So many of these wonderful vintage letter images are buried deep within old books. This one was included in a 2-volume French work about flowers that was published in 1867.
A large, but somehow friendly looking bee, visits some of the large flowers that surround a capital letter C. The entire piece is a simple line drawing in black and white that looks much like it was rubber stamped onto the page. It could be easily colorized to make it complement your project.
