A number of years ago, I found 20 letters from a single set of type used within the same book. The type was most likely sold by a single print foundry to a number of different publishers.
This letter H design was used by a different publisher in a book about birds and their nests from 1882. It’s a little bigger and the colors are slightly different but it is clearly a piece of the same set.
This black and white letter H design features a solid black letter H surrounded by swirling vines and leaves.
