One of several drop cap letters that I discovered in a book about birds and their nests from 1882. They clearly match a group of letters that I had added to Reusable Art several years ago. While I still don’t have the complete alphabet, there’s only 3 letters outstanding. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll find U, X and Z.
This letter N design is a bit larger than the original group of 20 were. Like all of the other letters, it features a solid black letter with vines entwined within the letter N design. This one has leaves and flowers. Several of the others have birds and mythological creatures too.
