Vintage and versatile is this letter V design. Vines, leaves, flowers and a hidden face are among the decorations on this drop cap that dates back to at least 1887. It was included in a fairly large work on fairy tales that incorporated 18 different letters within the text. We have them all – A, C, D, E, F, G, I, K, L, M, O, P, Q, S, T, V, W and Y.
Letter V designs are oddly enough somewhat rare. This one is only the fifth that I’ve found and could share with you. It is also the largest one so far. It measures 150px by 280px and is on a nice white background. The black and white letter V design would be great used alone or in combination with some of the other letters. You could also colorize it fairly easily to truly make it your own design.
