Lovely, vintage message frame with ribbons and flowers. This would seem to be the perfect border image to use on wedding stationery or scrapbook page. Couldn’t you just see the name of the bride and groom in the center, surrounded by the scrolling ribbon and flower edges? Of course, you could also use this great page spacer image as it was intended to introduce a page of text or a scrapbook page.
Thomas E. Hill made quite an ambitious work when he wrote Hill’s Album of Biography and Art in 1882. He did not indicate whether the artwork is from his own hand, another artist or primarily from print foundries.
