Writing on the Wall

It seems a common theme among the vintage images of children that I’ve found. A naughty boy is caught in the act of writing on the wall in this black and white drawing. A bird, a cat and the profile of a man are his works of art. Wonder what his parents and family thought of his creativity.

This February 10th, 1880 edition of Harper’s Young People had a number of wonderful drawings, including this one.

This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
