One of 13 fancy letter images recovered from an 1867 French book. The satirical work Les fleurs animées is more well known for it’s colorful ladies, but, it also had a number of decorative letters and page elements that were a better fit for ReusableArt.com.
This letter O with flowers features several flowers climbing on vines. They’re so lovely that they’ve even attracted a little dragonfly. The letter O looks carved and is stylized with a series of circles with crosses.
It’s black and white but there’s a lot of places to add color.
