It is probably a stock piece from a print foundry but we know it dates back to at least 1860 when it was included in a biography of that famous printmaker Gutenberg. I tried cleaning it up a bit but unfortunately the diagonal portions of this open letter W drop cap image are a bit pixelated. Hopefully, once you add a bit of color to the open areas of this vintage letter, it will be less noticeable.
