A group of seven little owls sit on the same branch in the vintage line drawing by an unidentified illustrator. Another of our black and white birds images, this one has a bit of bleed through from the page behind giving the image a slightly watermarked look. Someone clever with photo editing could probably remove the letting easily but we’ve included it as it seems to make the picture of owls a bit more interesting. It appeared in the posthumous work by Clement Clark Moore (1779-1863) Christmas Rhymes and Stories: original and selected. Including a Visit from Santa Claus.
