Beautiful, proud pigeon showing off his plumage while sitting in a ring. He is the right-facing image in a pair of similar pigeon images. The other can be found here – proud pigeon. Both of these black and white bird images could be easily colorized and used in a number of ways by anyone looking for images of birds or pigeons.
The Boy Who Knew What The Birds Said contained a wonderful array of drawings from one of my favorite children’s book illustrators, Dugald Stewart Walker (1883-1937). It was published in 1918.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
