Japanese Plant Stencil

This vintage plant drawing is from a vintage, Japanese plant stencil. It was published in a famous decorating magazine along with several other Japanese stencils. This one depicts bamboo branches, palm fronds and berries from some unidentified plant. It reminds me a bit of a boutonniere.

This graphic was included in the January 1, 1884; volume 3 edition of The Decorator and Furnisher magazine.

This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
