American Breakfast Cereals, claiming that they offered “The choicest foods in the world” created this advertising trade card in 1880. It features an ear of corn, some grains and a stunning, red hummingbird image.
Have to admit that for an American company, I’m not sure this red hummingbird image with the long split tail represents any of these charming little birds that might visit our country but, it sure is a pretty drawing and advertising image.
