If you’re looking for drawings of red roses or yellow roses in a blue bowl, then you may have come to the end of your search. This vintage drawing of a bowl of roses looks like it might be a Chinese bowl with a city. If you look carefully you can see a temple-like building on the right and a horse going over a foot-bridge. Kate Greenaway (1846-1901) was an influential and popular children’s book illustrator from England. Her work can be found in many children’s books, including Under the Window, the 1879 work which included this illustration.
