Vintage color illustration of St. Nicholas from a vintage children’s book published by F. Warne & Co. from 1894. Originally designed as something of a drop cap letter to introduce a paragraph, with a little editing magic, we now have a round Santa drawing.
With a garland of holly berries and leaves, we see the profile of the jolly old elf with his white whiskers and red coat. A little small at only 300 pixels square, it might make a good stamp or inchie.
