Sadly, I found even less information about this South American gecko than I did about the South American marked gecko. They were both included on a full-page plate from the Proceedings of the Scientific Meetings of the Zoological Society of London for the year 1889.
It would appear there’s two issues with researching more about this charming fellow. There’s probably been several name and taxonomy changes. And, he seems to be primarily found in Argentina and not an animal widely known. By whatever name, or names, he is known today, if you’re looking for a great lizard image or gecko drawing, you’ve come to the right place.
