Too many great pieces of vintage art have been lost forever. Thankfully, this drop cap letter T image was not one of them. A clever artist has taken a somewhat common block letter and made it fancier with additional scrollwork around the top and bottom.
Even more clever is that there are at least 11 other letter images that match this fancy letter T. Use this public domain drop cap letter image alone or in combination with one or more of the others which include the letters, A, C, D, G, H, I, J, M, O, P and W.
This set of fancy letters were all used in the 1881 book How a Little Boy Learned to Be Wise and Good. It was written by Helen Cross Knight (1814-1906). These images are most likely from the publisher Thomas Nelson and Sons.
