This fancy letter T image was originally designed for use as a drop cap but you could certainly use it for other things too. It wouldn’t be all that hard to trim off a bit of the decorations on this letter image but I don’t see why you would want to. It seems quite balanced with trailing flowers and small leaves on gently ruling vines surrounding a darker and bolder letter T.
Thomas E. Hill must have spent years writing his book Hill’s Album of Biography and Art. It was published in 1882 with hundreds of wonderful illustrations and what appear to be stock print foundry images. Over 200 of them can be found here on Reusable Art.
