Two delicate lines of decoration used as a matched frame is the subject of this public domain page spacer image. It was originally used to frame a bit of text but it could easily be edited to frame photos, graphics or just about anything.
Thomas E. Hill made quite an ambitious work when he wrote Hill’s Album of Biography and Art in 1882. He did not indicate whether the artwork is from his own hand, another artist or primarily from print foundries.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
