Fun vintage advertising image of Crandall’s John Gilpin toy. Both the horse and rider in this toy appear to have hinged joints to make the toy posable. This is a great and unusual vintage image of a horse toy. The Nursery, February 1877 is where I found this illustration.

This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
