Vintage black and white drawing of a rag doll. This tint doll drawing would add a small bit of whimsy to a scrapbook page. The doll looks in excellent condition but the positioning of her arms and legs would make it almost seem as if she has been left behind and abandoned. Its small size would make it a great choice for just about any project and could easily be incorporated with another drawing or photo of a child.
The title might be 1890 Baby’s Annual Pictures and Stories for Little People but the copyright for this vintage children’s book is actually 1889. Not that it truly matters as it is now over 120 years later and D. Lothrop Company did not attribute this book to either an author or an illustrator. Which means, all of the wonderful illustrations it contained are now in the public domain.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
