Potted Palm Tree

Vintage drawing of a potted palm tree. This charming little drawing is of a palm tree in a square planter box with a geometric, almost quilt-like design on the front and a woven design on the side. It would make a great addition to a mixed media art project and could easily be added to a drawing of a room.

I’m so happy I found Hill’s Album of Biography and Art. It is unclear whether the illustrations are the work of the author. But what is clear is that this large 1882 children’s book by Thomas E. Hill was full of wonderful illustrations.

This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
