Black and white drawing of trees by a river. The edge of a white house an a little bit of fencing add to this bucolic scene. It’s a piece of a larger drawing but I think this is the best part – the stately trees.
Hill’s Album of Biography and Art is a wonderful vintage book by Thomas E. Hill. It was published in 1882. It was absolutely stuffed full of great illustrations. Some appear to be original to this book and I have spotted some in other publications of this period which would seem to mean they were either used by the publisher in multiple works or they were print foundry images.
