Vintage drawing of a turtle skeleton. The 1870 book on Reptiles and Birds did not mention what type of turtle this skeleton represents. Based on the size and paddle-like shape of the front feet, I’m guessing this was one that lives in water. This science image would be wonderful for a student studying turtles and reptiles.
Of course, I’m a bit more partial to drawings of turtles that includes their pretty shells and depicts them full of life. This turtle skeleton drawing, like all of the images on Reusable Art is in the public domain.
