Black and white fancy letter W drawing. This drop cap letter W drawing is only 78 pixels wide and 134 pixels tall. It is a bit on the smaller side but with the strong black W and the thick vines surrounding it, it packs a dramatic punch.
When Alfred H. Engelbach’s book was published in 1878, Engelbach did not identify an illustrator. Many of the images were probably purchased from a print foundry to be used with The King’s Warrant A Story of Old and New France.
