Vintage drawing of oat and two types of wheat. This botanical print and food image is over 150 years old. It could have easily been drawn yesterday. Maybe it’s just me but the idea that someone 4 or 5 generations ago, painted these grains and children of that era learned from this book full of so many wonderful illustrations. They’re all in the public domain now, so several more generations can enjoy them.
These vintage colored botanical prints are wonderful. The 1858 work Lessons From the Vegetable World had a number of them but unfortunately did not include information on the artist or watercolorist.
