In this fourth drawing in this series of white cat images, our feline friend appears to have found himself a bit of trouble with the milkman. Our kitty friend appears to have fallen into a bucket of milk and the milkman is lifting the soaking wet cat out of the bucket. This fun vintage drawing is part of a set of cat drawings that would make for a great children’s project where they could write their own cat story.
This circa 1865 illustration is sadly not attributed to any artist. Aunt Louisa’s Birthday Gift, written by Laura Valentine (d.1899) and published by Scribner, Welford and Co.; included many animal images that I have shared with you on Reusable Art.
