Our white cat, looking a bit more scruffy, begs for a bit of bread from a poor young girl in this vintage copyright free cat image. The fifth in our collection of cat drawings, this image also has a bakery and stagecoach in the background.
This circa 1865 illustration is sadly not attributed to any artist. Aunt Louisa’s Birthday Gift, written by Laura Valentine (d.1899) and published by Scribner, Welford and Co.; included many animal images that I have shared with you on Reusable Art.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
