A lovely lady drawn in front of the shadows greats a new day in this vintage drawing of women by William James Neatby (1860-1910). The beautiful two-part painting was used to illustrate John Keat’s poem Endymion –
As she spake, into her face there came
Light, as reflected from a silver flame,
…In her eyes a brighter day
Dawn’d blue and full of love.
