Wonderful metaphorical drawing of dawn and the morning star. A beautiful women glows as she glides across the sky seeming to collect the night’s stars and prepare the sky for the coming dawn. As a group of admirers watch, she floats though the sky as a rooster prepares to announce the dawn of a new day.
This vintage magazine image does show a little wear and tear, but the picture of the angelic woman is virtually intact. It was included in the June 1852 issue of Godey’s Lady’s Book.
