Humorous drawing of a women hiding under a quilt. Literally up to her nose under a patchworked quilt, a women wearing a night cap appears to be hiding from the world in her four-poster bed. A coo-coo clock and a framed drawing of a pig hand on the wall decorating her bedroom. Not sure how this image could be used but it does seem to have quite a few different themes.
This is another of those wonderful children’s books which provided a bunch of great vintage images for Reusable Art. National Rhymes of the Nursery did not include a publication date, but the artist was Gordon Browne (1858-1932) and his work is in the public domain.
