While we can’t see all of her face, it is now doubt lovely. This lonely lady walks along a grass and flower-strewn bluff. Could this woman in blue be waiting for a loved one to return? Or maybe she’s just enjoying the day. The mystery surrounding this picture makes it much more interesting – at least to me. Hope you find it useful.
Under the Window is one of the many children’s books which contained illustrations by Kate Greenaway (1846-1901). It was published in 1879.
