Isn’t this vintage botanical print of a wood anemone flower pretty? This white flower was drawn and hand-painted over 150 years ago and included in the book Lessons From the Vegetable World. Isn’t that amazing? To think that this book has survived all that time and the pages are in such great shape. And to think that some unknown artist spent their days hand-painting each of the illustrations that were part of this book.
How lovely is this anemone flower with it’s white petals, yellow stamens and red stem? The dark green leaves are also interesting with four branches of their own.
I look forward to seeing what someone does with this vintage image and how they turn it into a new piece of art.
